Barn Capacity

How much your barn holds, what counts toward it, and how to make it bigger.

Your barn holds everything you harvest, collect and craft. It starts with room for 75 items. When it is full you cannot harvest or collect anything more, so keeping space free is one of the first things every farmer learns.

What counts

Crops, animal goods and crafted goods take up space. These do not:

  • barn materials (nails, planks, rope, bricks, boards, screws, leather straps, iron bars)
  • boosts, potions, coupons and tokens
  • fish, ores, gems and ingots, which live in Valley Storage instead

Upgrading the barn

Barn upgrades open at Level 5. Every upgrade adds 30 spaces and costs coins plus three kinds of barn materials:

Upgrade Space after Coins Materials
1 105 425 2 nails, 2 planks, 1 rope
2 135 680 3 nails, 3 bricks, 1 leather strap
3 165 1,000 4 planks, 3 iron bars, 1 screw
4 195 1,350 5 nails, 4 leather straps, 2 bricks
5 225 1,700 6 rope, 5 iron bars, 2 screws
6 255 2,400 10 nails, 8 leather straps, 3 planks

After that, coins and materials keep climbing with every upgrade (the coin price stops growing at 100,000), and the three materials rotate. If you are a few materials short, you can fill the gap with diamonds. When the barn fills up, the Barn Full popup offers the next upgrade in one tap.

Free space from leveling

You also get barn space for free: +20 on Levels 5, 15, 25 and so on, and +30 on every tenth level. From Level 50, every tenth level also adds 15 to Valley Storage.

Overflow

When a reward does not fit, it is not lost. It waits in the Overflow tab of your barn, and you can claim it once you have room.

Where barn materials come from

Orders, visitors, the Harbor boat, trucks, Daily Quests, Lucky Cards, the Login Gift and the Market Stall all hand them out. Trucks are the steadiest source.

Tips

  • Lock items you need for orders, so you never sell them by accident.
  • Sell or deliver surplus crops early; they are cheap and fill the barn fastest.
