A coop is a small group of players who farm side by side. You help each other with boats and requests, fill shared goals, build a village together and share the rewards. Coops are one of the friendliest parts of TinyHarvest, and you do not need to be a top player to be a valuable member.
This guide covers how to find or start a coop, how roles work, what coops level up into, the buildings you build together, and the daily and weekly routines that keep a coop healthy.
Getting started
Coops unlock at player level 13. Open the
Coop tab and you can do one of three things:
- Browse public coops. Coops are shown with their crest, level, tags and how many members have been active this week, so you can pick one that matches your pace.
- Join with a code. Any coop leader can share an invite code or link.
- Create your own. Pick a name, a short description and whether it is public, application-only or invite-only.
Joining is flexible. Depending on the coop’s join mode, you can hop straight in, send a short application that the coop’s leaders read and answer, or enter an invite code. Some coops set a minimum player level, and some ask that you have a name of your own rather than the default “Farmer” name.
Tip: Write a friendly line in your application: what time you usually play, and what you enjoy. Coops tend to say yes to players who look like they will stick around.
If you leave a coop and come back to the same one within a week, your coop hearts come back in full. Joining a different coop later returns half of what you saved, up to a cap.
Roles
Every coop has five roles in a fixed ladder:
| Role | What it is |
|---|---|
| Leader | Founds the coop and holds the final say |
| Co-Leader | Up to three per coop, trusted helpers who run the day to day |
| Elder | Experienced members who can plan and spend |
| Member | A regular member |
| Recruit | Everyone starts here when they join |
Roles can be renamed by the leader, so your coop may call them something cozier. New joiners are Recruits and cannot yet take items out of the Warehouse, but they can take part in everything else.
Each coop has a permission table on its Roles page. It lists actions, such as removing jobs, starting building projects, ringing the Bell or picking the Kitchen bonus, and the lowest role allowed to do each. Only the leader edits the table, but everybody can read it, so you always know who to ask.
Coop levels and perks
A coop earns points when members donate items, finish jobs and goals, help with boats and check in. Points raise the coop level, up to level 20. Each level raises the member limit, and four everyday perks are shared by every member:
| Coop level | Members | Perks that unlock |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | up to 10 | none yet |
| 2 | 10 | Faster crop growth, 2% |
| 3 | 12 | Faster animal production, 2% |
| 4 | 12 | Faster crafting, 3% |
| 6 | 15 | 5% bonus coins on donations |
| 9 | 20 | Crafting speed up to 8% |
| 11 | 25 | Donation bonus up to 10% |
| 13 | 30 | Crop speed up to 10% |
| 15 | 35 | Crafting speed up to 16% |
| 16 | 35 | Donation bonus up to 15% |
| 18 | 40 | Crop speed up to 18% |
| 20 | 50 | Crafting speed up to 26%, animal and crop speed up to 18% |
The full ladder of 20 levels is shown in the Coop Journey screen in the game. Coop level also decides when each building signpost appears.
The Grounds and Coop Buildings
The top of the Coop tab is the Grounds, a painted village scene. As your coop builds, it fills with buildings, and recently active members stand near the building they last used. Buildings are funded together: the Elders (by default) start a project, then every member hands in items and coins until each line of the supply list is full. After that a short build timer runs and the building opens.
Buildings must be built in order and each has three levels (the Monument has endless levels):
| Building | Coop level needed | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Town Hall | 1 | Crest designer, notice board, decorations, optional notice as a push message |
| Warehouse | 2 | Shared stock: deposit surplus, request what you are missing |
| Kitchen | 3 | Fill the daily pot and the whole coop gets a bonus |
| Bell Tower | 5 | Opens the Treasury, and lets you ring a bell for a coop-wide boost |
| Monument | 8 | Endless prestige build, one level per week at most |
Project costs scale with how many members have been active recently, so a small coop is not asked for what a big one could afford.
Town Hall
Design your coop’s crest from emblems, shapes and colors, which unlock as the coop levels up. Higher Town Hall levels add decoration slots (bought with coop hearts), a daily “post and notify” and a banner on the coop leaderboard.
Warehouse
The Warehouse replaces the old request-and-wait donations. Anyone can deposit, and members can take items out once they have been in the coop for a few days, up to a daily limit that grows with the Warehouse level. You can only take items your own player level has unlocked. If something is out of stock, you can post a request and the next matching deposit fills it.
Kitchen
Each day the coop has a pot to fill. Any food counts, and cooked dishes count for more than raw ingredients. The size of the pot depends on how many members have been active this week. When it fills, the whole coop is Well Fed for 24 hours. A Co-Leader (by default) picks the bonus from what the Kitchen level unlocks: extra XP, faster crops, and at the top level faster refinery work, faster blacksmith work or quicker mine runs. Your first donation of the day also earns double hearts.
Bell Tower and Treasury
The Treasury holds coins that members pay in. It is a shared wallet for shared costs, and spent coins are gone. The Bell Tower lets Elders and above ring the bell once a day to give the whole coop a temporary boost to XP, crop speed and (at higher levels) crafting speed and harvest yield. A ring always starts at least 15 minutes after it is scheduled so everyone gets a heads-up. Top Givers are listed on the board each week and across all time.
Monument
The Monument is the coop’s long-term showpiece. Its levels cost a lot of coins plus ingots, cut gems and rare materials, and it can grow at most one level a week. At milestone levels every member earns a title and, from level 10, a profile border: Monument Builders, Pillar of the Coop, Keeper of the Monument and Monument Legend.
Daily and weekly routines
Check in
Tap the hall door once a day to check in. You get 5 coop hearts, and your avatar appears on the Grounds.
The job board
The notice board holds a handful of jobs each day (more in bigger coops). Pick one that matches what you already plan to do, such as harvest carrots, craft bread, send a boat, run a mission or smelt ingots. Finish it and you earn coop hearts and coop points. Jobs come in a medium and a hard difficulty, with the hard ones paying more. You can hold one claimed job at a time, and the board refreshes during the day so the same job does not come back right away.
Weekly goals
Every week the coop gets three shared goals, one easy, one medium and one hard, such as “Harvest any crop”, “Complete orders” or “Send ships”. The targets scale with the size of your coop. Everyone’s actions count toward the total. Goals run from Tuesday to Sunday, and Monday is a rest day when the week closes and rewards are sent.
The weekly chest
How many goals you finish decides the chest that arrives for every member:
| Goals done | Chest | Contents |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Bronze | Coins, diamonds, sanctuary tokens, a boost and some rare barn materials |
| 2 | Silver | A bigger version, with more boosts and rare materials |
| 3 | Gold | The best chest, with a chance of a rare gold token |
Every member who is in the coop at week’s end gets a chest. Rewards are rolled once for the coop, so everyone receives the same.
Boat help and donations
Members can help fill each other’s boats and post requests to the Warehouse. Each helped boat earns coop points, and every item donated earns points and hearts too.
Coop hearts and the coop shop
Hearts are your personal coop currency. You earn them from check-ins, jobs, donations and the Kitchen. They are never pooled, so spending them is up to you. The coop shop sells, among other things:
a
Coupon (once a week) to fill a truck or boat crate instantly,- a Barn Crate of rare building materials (up to three a week),
-
a **Premium Slot Voucher** (once a month),
- three rotating exclusives each week, and Grounds decorations for your Town Hall.
Etiquette and tips
- Show up a little each day. A coop does not need heroes. It needs lots of players doing a few small things, like a check-in, one job and one boat.
- Donate what you do not need. Old crops, surplus crafts and spare materials are perfect for the Warehouse and the Kitchen.
- Say hello in chat. A short message in the coop chat goes a long way, and you can find the coop’s Discord link on its page if the coop has one.
- Ask before you take. Withdraw what you need for a project rather than emptying the shelf.
- Be patient with Recruits. Everyone started there. Leaders can promote with a tap.
- Leaders, set expectations. Use the notice board for the coop’s pace and goals. A kind message helps more than a strict one.
- Do not worry about being the best. The weekly chest only needs the coop to finish the goals together.
Good to know: Coops that go quiet for a long stretch drop out of the browse list. If your coop wants to attract new members, a short, friendly description and a few tags help a lot.
